Read through the following carefully.
Registration:
All .KE country level domain costs 1000 for one year and thereafter renewal is required. The domain MYDOMAIN.KE will cost you 5000/= to register, Always make sure that your domain reads mydomain.co.ke in order to pay 1000.
It will cost you 1500/= to register any of these domain extensions; .COM, .BIZ, .ORG, .US & .INFO.
Domain Name Propagation:
The domain regardless of the extension involved will propagate within the first 30mins after it is registered. Contact Admin in case of any delays involved.
Life Span of Domains:
Before you register a domain name make sure that you have an active and working email address of your own e.g myemail@domain.com
If you register any of the following domain extensions; .COM, .BIZ, .ORG, .US & .INFO make sure that you followup by confirming your email address. It is important to confirm your email to avoid your domain being suspended.
After registration, the domain will take 360 days online thereafter it will expire.
A domain will take about 25 days in expiry status awaiting renewal.
After 30 days after expiry date .KE domains go into the server hold. These domain name extensions .COM, .BIZ, .ORG, .US & .INFO after 30 days of expiry they will go into the redemption period. In redemption period you cant register nor renew such a domain. A domain on the server hold status can be renewed with a request sent to admin.
Domain Transfers & Migration
You are not allowed to transfer in a domain so that you can use it on the MLM profile only registered withing GIF will be allowed.
To migrate a domain from the system and away from the company it is a process that will require you to get directives from the admin.
WHOIS Details:
By default the WHOIS details for these domain extensions; .COM, .BIZ, .ORG, .US & .INFO are withheld due to privacy policy. The local domain extensions are available but if need be one can request to have them withheld.
